Family Nurse Practitioner and Menopause Society Certified Provider

Dana Vix is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP). She earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree from Northern Michigan University, her Registered Nurse (RN) degree from Bay College, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University.

Throughout her nursing career, Dana has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including Employee Health and Infection Control, Quality Improvement, Utilization Review, and Nursing Supervision. She also spent four years as a travel nurse, gaining valuable experience in medical-surgical nursing, oncology, intensive care, emergency medicine, and step-down units. This diverse clinical background has strengthened her commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care.

After becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, Dana spent five years practicing family medicine, caring for patients across the lifespan and managing a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions. During this time, she developed a special interest in women’s health, hormone optimization, and healthy aging.

Today, Dana specializes in women’s health and aesthetic medicine. As a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, she has advanced training in the management of perimenopause, menopause, weight management and healthy aging. She is passionate about helping women navigate hormonal changes and improve their quality of life through evidence-based, individualized care.

In addition to menopause and women’s health services, Dana provides aesthetic services designed to help patients look and feel their best. She takes a personalized approach to aesthetic care, focusing on natural-looking results that enhance confidence and overall well-being.

Born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and family and embraces the outdoor lifestyle that the region offers. An avid outdoorswoman, Dana enjoys traveling and big game hunting, and she values the opportunity to explore new places and experiences. She appreciates the natural beauty of the Upper Peninsula and the strong connections she builds within her community.
