A Holiday Tradition Benefiting Local Healthcare

2025 Winner List Become a Sponsor

A Beloved Upper Peninsula Holiday Tradition

The Festival of Trees has become one of the Upper Peninsula’s most beloved holiday traditions, celebrating community, generosity, creativity, and the magic of the season. Each year, visitors from across the region gather at Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital to see a beautiful display of holiday trees and designer wreaths, and to feel the incredible spirit of giving that defines our communities.

What began as a local fundraising event has grown into a cherished regional tradition, made possible by the creativity and generosity of businesses, organizations, volunteers, sponsors, and community members across the Upper Peninsula.

Over the years, the Festival of Trees has helped support important Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital priorities, including building expansion and advanced medical equipment that strengthen local access to exceptional care. In 2025, as we celebrated Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s 75th anniversary, the Festival took on special meaning as we chose to give back, with proceeds supporting CBC, which provides meaningful assistance to individuals and families in our region.

We are deeply grateful for the incredible support that continues to make this event possible year after year. Together, we are building more than a holiday event; we are cultivating a lasting Upper Peninsula tradition rooted in community, generosity, and caring for one another.

The 8th Annual Festival of Trees

Now in its 8th year, the Festival of Trees continues to grow, drawing nearly 1,000 visitors each year to the Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Atrium to experience the beauty, creativity, and community spirit that fill it during the holiday season.

From December 4–12, guests are invited to stroll through a stunning display of beautifully decorated holiday trees and designer wreaths, each uniquely crafted by generous businesses, organizations, and community members from across the Upper Peninsula. The Festival also features raffle opportunities and an online auction featuring select trees and wreaths, themed prize packages, unique experiences, and getaway opportunities donated by community partners throughout the region.

Whether visiting with family, buying raffle tickets, bidding in the online auction, or simply enjoying the warmth and wonder of the season, every participant becomes part of something meaningful and helps strengthen the future of exceptional healthcare close to home.

Interested in creating a tree, wreath, themed package, or getaway experience? We invite you to become a Festival sponsor and join this growing Upper Peninsula tradition.

The excitement culminates with the Festival of Trees raffle drawing, which will be streamed live on Facebook on Saturday, December 12, at 2:00 p.m., as we celebrate another year of generosity, creativity, and community spirit.
