Auxiliary
The Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has a long and proud history of serving our hospital and community in the Upper Peninsula. For more than 50 years, our dedicated members have offered their time and compassion, becoming positive representatives of the hospital through enthusiastic volunteerism and fundraising.
Annual Events and Fundraisers
Our members host several annual events to raise funds and engage with the community. These traditions include:
-
The Love Lite Tree
During the winter holiday season, this special event allows community members to honor and memorialize loved ones.

Our Special Contributions
The caring hands of our Auxiliary members create special items to bring comfort to patients during their stay.
- Surgical Pillows: To comfort patients who have undergone surgical procedures, our members craft special pillows designed to provide support and relief.
- Cuddly Teddy Bears: To help ease the fears of our youngest patients, our Auxiliary also makes cuddly teddy bears, offering a happy keepsake and a source of comfort.
