Dr. Jeff Bomber grew up in Pellston, Michigan, and graduated from high school there. He earned his bachelor’s of science from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida, and his doctor of osteopathic medicine from Des Moines University. He went on to complete his residency in family medicine at the Toledo Hospital.
Dr. Bomber previously had a practice in Engadine, Michigan, at the West Mackinac Health Clinic. He has also served as State Medical Director for Corizon Health, which contracts with the Michigan Department of Corrections in providing healthcare for our prison inmate population.
Dr. Bomber has been a part-time resident of Naubinway since 2003 and a full-time resident since 2008. He has been very active in volunteering in numerous activities at the Engadine Consolidated Schools, Rexton and Naubinway Christian Fellowship Churches, and the Hiawatha Sportsman’s Club.
His hobbies include sailing, making music (guitar, vocal, and mandolin), fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, and creating log furniture from UP native cedar for friends and family. Dr. Bomber’s wife, Jomay, is a music teacher at Engadine Consolidated Schools and Worship Director for the Naubinway and Rexton Christian Fellowship Churches. Together, they have three children: oldest daughter, Lorhel, who is a JAG Officer in the United States Coast Guard; younger daughter Sarah, who is a singer, musician, and performer for Belinda King Productions U.K.; and son Jeff, a second-year law student at Penn State Dickinson.
